PRINCIPLES FOR FORMING THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN CODE OF INDUSTRIAL CITIES OF KAZAKHSTAN IN THE CONDITIONS OF URBANIZATION

Abstract: The design of architectural design code, while not a new approach, has been increasingly identified in the literature on urban design and normative work in recent years as a tool that contributes to better and more effective urban planning. The current situation in the regional cities of Kazakhstan increasingly requires the use of design codes to preserve a unified architectural style and authentic appearance to unlock the potential of cities. The research is limited to cities of regional significance in Kazakhstan, in particular industrial cities with a special structure of building organization and renovation needs. The methodological basis was the analysis of the morphological structure of the urban environment of industrial cities of Kazakhstan and their architectural structures. Literary sources, design, and archival materials were also studied, as well as the synthesis and generalization of the results were carried out. Based on the identified results, that is, such principles as a competent pre-project analysis, which includes a full-scale survey, the study of archival materials, and the creation of a conceptual model taking into account all factors. Taking into account these principles, it is possible to form recommendations on the formation of architectural design codes for industrial cities of Kazakhstan and on their application to stabilize the urban appearance and space.Downloads
