CAJAS publishes the results of authors’ research in the areas of art history (theater, music, choreography, cinema, visual and applied arts, architecture, etc.), of higher education (pedagogy of art, humanitarian education) and of philosophy of art and science.
Priority factors in the selection of publications are following: reference to new study and literary sources, academism and scientific objectivity, historiographic completeness and openness, the modern dimension of complex humanitarian problems, new interpretations of cultural artifacts and art objects. In addition to scientific articles, the journal may include abstracts, historiographic surveys, source materials, reviews, discussions on the topics of the humanities.
In 2023, CAJAS plans thematic issues aimed at examining and researching issues in the following areas:
№ 1. Art of Central Asia: Language and Text from the Perspective of Modernity (March, submission of manuscripts until January 20, 2023);
№ 2. Creative space of the Central Asian Region (June, deadline for submissions is April 20, 2023);
№ 3. Interdisciplinary Studies of Central Asian Art (September, submission of manuscripts until July 20, 2023);
№ 4. Man in Art View of the Modern World (Art of Central Asia) (December, submission of manuscripts until October 20, 2023)
We are inviting to publication scientists, academic researchers and analysts, theorists and practitioners of art and culture.
The purpose of the journal is to provide a platform for the exchange of scientific ideas and the introduction of new research into the scientific circulation, as well as the development of joint international scientific projects in the field of art history.
CAJAS in September 2020 is included in the List of publications recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education and Science under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (CQAES) for publication of the main results of scientific activity (section «Art History»). In addition, CAJAS is indexed by EBSCO, CyberLeninka, KazBC (Kazakhstan Citation Base), and NCSTE.
The term for consideration of articles submitted to CAJAS is 2–4 months
